There is very limited weekend availability for Duke of Edinburgh groups and Group/Rally bookings.  The whole campsite is fully booked weekend of 25th/26th June.


IT IS ADVISABLE TO USE THE ONLINE BOOKING FORM FOR ALL BOOKINGS AS I AM OUT AND ABOUT ON THE CAMPSITE DURING THE DAY, I WILL GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH GROUPS:  Mid-May to School return after Summer Holidays, no Duke of Edinburgh Groups exceeding 30 students on Friday or Saturday nights.  Prices: £5 per student (no showers), £10 per staff member (including shower).

CARAVAN RALLIES: £10 pupn strictly self-contained (water and chemical disposal only)

Booking Exclusions:

  • We have a recreational/holiday licence. No one who wants to use the campsite as a base for travelling to work is permitted.
  • NO stag or hen parties.
  • Under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

We have a 28 night maximum continuous stay licence.

ARRIVAL TIME is 2pm to 8pm unless by prior arrangement, anyone arriving before 2pm will be charged half of one night’s pitch fee (exception DofE Groups & Caravan Rallies)

Absolutely no arrivals between 8pm and 9am

During quiet periods Reception is not continually manned. If you have just arrived or you have a query etc. please ring the reception bell between the two dark grey garage doors.

I am available 9am to 11.30am and 2pm to 6pm. Anyone arriving between 6-8pm please ring the Reception bell. Please respect my personal time and try not to disturb me after 8pm.

    BALANCE PAYMENTS
    Balance payments must be paid before entering the camping field by bank transfer or cash. We do not have a bank card terminal, please ensure you have sufficient cash with you or are able to complete a bank transfer. There is an ATM inside the Co-op in the town.

    CHECK OUT TIME is 12 noon (midday). If you would like to leave your car whilst you go for a walk or lunch, I can advise you where to park.

    We close for the winter at the end of October and reopen on the first weekend of March (weather and holidays permitting)

    AVAILABILITY CALENDAR
    If the availability calendar states I am fully booked (dates have turned pink, this is kept up to date), I have pitches available only for those arriving on foot or bicycle. The calendar relates only to the main camping field. It does not apply to the Rally (bottom) field (which in the main is booked up two years in advance), nor does it apply to DofE Groups. I have limited weekends left available in the bottom field for 2024.

    BANK HOLIDAYS

    With the exception of those arriving by bicycle or on foot (backpacking) PRIORITY will be given to those wishing to book for a minimum of 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) over a Bank Holiday Weekend.

    If you only require a one or two night stay then please leave booking until one week before the Friday of the Bank Holiday, if I have space available then I will be happy to book you in at that time.

    DEPOSITS
    A £10 per unit non-refundable deposit during busy times (ie Bank Holidays) will be required to secure all bookings.  A deposit bank transfer will be required within one week of booking.  If I have your email address you will receive confirmation once your deposit is received. Balance payments are then payable on arrival or in advance either by BANK TRANSFER or CASH. Please note I do not have a bank card terminal.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS:  CANCELLATIONS

    1. If after booking and paying a deposit you are unable to keep the booking, you will loose the deposit.  If you have made full payment you may re-book another date within the same calendar year (before end of season close date – usually end October), providing 48 hours notice of the cancellation has been given. (ie. if you have booked to arrive on Friday and are unable to come, you must let me know by 12 midday on previous Wednesday.) You will loose your deposit.
    2. If you have booked for several nights and are then unable to come for the first night but will be here for subsequent nights, unless you give me 48 hours notice of your change of arrival day, you will be charged as per the original booking. (ie. You book for Friday for 5 nights, but then change to arrive Saturday. If you have not let us know by 12 midday on the previous Wednesday that you will not be coming until Saturday, you will be expected to pay for Friday when you arrive on Saturday.)
    3.  Cancellations without 48 hours notice will incur a 50% total of the pitch fee unless the pitch can be rebooked.
    4. DofE Groups who cancel without reasonable notice (minimum 3 months) will be charged half the total pitch fees.
    5. Caravan Rallies who cancel without reasonable notice (minimum 3 months) will be charged £50.
